Rasam

Rasam

$4.50

Rasam is a common dish in South India made with heavy notes of tamarind, tomato, pepper and lentils. It’s a lighter soup-like consistency that is a favorite to sip while sick, or mix with rice on any given day. Or if you are looking for a low carb, high protein option, pairing with quinoa is the way to go. One packet usually lasts us 2-3 meals so we like to make this with a packet of rice and call it a day!

Serves 1-2 people (2.7 oz)

Pronounced as [ruh-sum]. Also known as tamarind tomato soup.
