Rasam is a common dish in South India made with heavy notes of tamarind, tomato, pepper and lentils. It’s a lighter soup-like consistency that is a favorite to sip while sick or mix with rice on any given day. One packet usually lasts us 2-3 meals so we like to make this with a packet of rice and call it a day!

  • Mix with any grain (can top with chana masala as well)

Adding Meat

If you want to add your own meat, rasam + rice mixes well with chicken / lamb. 

 

  • This should be refrigerated or frozen at all times. Refrigerate for up to 7 days or freeze for up to 3 months.

  • If you are freezing your packet, defrost it before cooking by refrigerating the packet for 2-3 hours first.
